About the Cleveland Chapter of WEB

Overview

Programs presented by the Cleveland chapter of WEB feature an interactive panel of benefits professionals (from large and small employers, law firms, providers, and consulting firms), who each bring a different perspective on important, practical issues faced by today's benefits community. The Cleveland chapter is now the largest WEB chapter in the country. Opportunities for employee benefits professionals to exchange ideas and information through our educational programs and networking abound in the Cleveland chapter.

The Cleveland chapter of WEB generally meets on the third Thursday of the month from September through May. Occasionally, we meet on other days, though, so check the schedule.

Our morning programs begin with registration and continental breakfast and your first networking opportunity at 7:30 a.m. The presentation is from 8:00-9:00 a.m., with questions/answers from 9:00-9:15 a.m. Certain programs, including the Annual Legal and Regulatory Update, are scheduled for two hours, from 8:00-10:00 a.m., with questions/answers from 10:00-10:15 a.m.

Back by popular demand this year, on November 8, 2007, we'll have a late afternoon program followed by a Social Event at Pickwick & Frolic in downtown Cleveland. Our speaker will be Tom Emerick, President, Emerick Consulting, LLC (formerly VP, Global Benefit Design - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.) presenting "Future Directions for Health Care Design". Program Location

Most of our programs are held at The Forum Conference Center at One Cleveland Center, 1375 East 9th Street in Cleveland (at the corner of East 9th Street and St. Clair Avenue). Click here to VIEW A MAP showing the location of The Forum with driving instructions. Parking is available in the One Cleveland Center garage, which may be accessed either from St. Clair Avenue (between 9th and 12th Streets — entrance is across from the Galleria) or from Rockwell Avenue. Parking in the garage is $5 for program attendees if you have your parking ticket validated at the WEB registration desk. As a courtesy to our attendees, the Cleveland Chapter pays $3.50 of the normal $8.50 parking fee.

Program Fees

The program fees for regular programs are $15 for members and $35 for nonmembers. You may register online and prepay with a credit card or check the box that you will pay at the door. You may also register by mail (checks only) or fax, email or telephone your registration and pay at the door. On the day of the program, the Cleveland Chapter accepts checks or cash only. It does speed up registration on the morning of the program, however, if you have prepaid your registration either online with a credit card or by mailing in your check.

Continuing Education Credit

Application for legal and accounting continuing education credit will be made for all programs in the 2007-2008 program year. Application for continuing education credit for insurance licensing will be made for our November SPECIAL EVENT and for all of the 2008 programs. All of our programs are intended to satisfy continuing education requirements for HRCI recertification hours (SHRM). As applicable, additional information about continuing education credit will be included with the notice and registration form for each program. An additional $15 processing fee applies to nonmembers seeking continuing education credit, when applicable.
