WEB Holds National Conference, Ron Williams to Address Attendees
Chicago April 14 and 15, Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB) will hold its third annual national Benefits Solutions Conference. Themed Mastering the Challenges, the two-day event will weave the issues of cost, compliance and communications within three content areas: health and welfare, retirement and a benefits basic track called Benefits Boot Camp.sm
U.S. Paralympic Silver and Bronze Medalist, Ron Williams will address participants during the conference's signature event - the WEB Excellence in Benefits Awards (WEBA) Luncheon on Thursday. In his motivational presentation titled, "Excelling in One's Profession," he will talk about overcoming the odds.
Once diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma, a malignant tumor of the bone, Williams beat cancer. Since then, his life has been anything but ordinary. At the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, he grabbed two medals; a bronze in the Men's Individual Road Race and silver in the Men's Team Sprint.
Over 200 benefits profressional participants are expected to attend the luncheon.Williams' address and the WEBA Luncheon are sponsored by The Hartford.
WEB supports and furthers the personal growth and professional development of individuals working in employee benefits disciplines such as health and welfare, compensation, retirement, third party administration, legal services and communications.
