Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how people access information, make decisions, and engage with healthcare. Yet the most important impact of AI may not be the technology itself. It may be the shift in who employees trust and where they go first for guidance.

Program Summary

Historically, benefits leaders, carriers, providers, and navigators served as the primary entry points into the healthcare system. Increasingly, employees are turning to AI-driven tools and personalized digital experiences before they ever interact with traditional benefits resources. As AI becomes embedded across healthcare, benefits administration, navigation, communications, and consumer technology, the "front door" to healthcare is being redefined.

This session will move beyond AI hype and vendor marketing claims to explore what is actually changing beneath the surface. We will examine:

• where AI is creating meaningful value,
• where risks and unintended consequences remain, and
• how employers and consultants can distinguish signal from noise in a rapidly evolving market. 

Drawing on Aon research, market observations, and perspectives from leading healthcare investors and innovators, we'll discuss how AI may reshape healthcare navigation, employee engagement, decision-making, vendor ecosystems, and benefits strategy over the next several years.

Jillian Purner is a Health consultant at Aon based in Chicago, where she focuses on health strategy, benefits innovation, vendor evaluation, and the practical application of AI in benefits consulting. She partners across Health Solutions to translate emerging trends, market insights, and complex solution capabilities into clear, actionable strategies for clients and colleagues. Jillian plays a leading role in the development and rollout of Aon’s Annual Health Point of View, supports national innovation and commercialization initiatives, and helps build enablement tools that make it easier for consultants to bring timely, differentiated perspectives to the market.
