NORTHEAST OHIO - Crisis Management
How to Manage Difficult Situations When Crisis Hits
Join Northeast Ohio WEB for this year's
Tales from the Crypt program on the
terrifying topic of Crisis Management!
Program Summary
When a crisis hits, HR professionals are often at the center of the response. Employees want answers, leaders need guidance, rumors can spread quickly and every communication decision can affect trust in the organization.
This session will focus on what HR and employee benefits professionals need to know in the critical hours and days of a crisis. We’ll explore how to communicate when facts are still emerging, what employees need to hear first, how to balance transparency with legal and business considerations, and how HR, communications and legal teams can work together without slowing down the response.
Through real-world examples and practical guidance, attendees will learn how to navigate difficult questions, avoid common communications missteps and help their organizations respond with clarity, empathy and credibility when the pressure is highest.
